iQuda Joins the Peace Business Partnership
As of July 2018, iQuda joined the Peace Hospice Care Business Partnership as a Silver Level Partner. iQuda is the latest in a string of companies who decided to make a regular monthly donation to help the hospice continue their vital work. Private funds are vital to the hospice because even though their care is completely free, only 20% of their costs are funded by the NHS. Other companies who have joined the Partnership include Warner Brother’s Studios, the Camelot Group, and Metro Bank.
There are four levels to the Peace Business Partnership, ranging from Bronze to Purple. Businesses can join the partnership by donating as little as £50 every month. All funds raised go directly to the hospice, and help cover the costs of running a hospice that’s equipped with doctors, nurses and community-based caregivers. In the last year alone, Peace Hospice Care helped support over 1,500 people and their families who are living with a life-limiting or life-threatening illness.
Managing Director Anthony Jones said: “The Hospice has done incredible work for our local community for over a quarter of a century, and we are delighted to be able to support them.”
At the iQuda Head Office, Managing Director Anthony Jones met with Charlotte Richardson, who works in Fundraising at Peace Hospice Care. Charlotte explained just how important private donations are to the hospice – they make up 80% of the total monies raised by the hospice each year.
Charlotte said: “We are incredibly grateful for your support, it means an awful lot to us.”
iQuda supports a number of leading hospices based in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & London. We have witnessed first-hand the outstanding support they give to the community, all of which they provide completely free of charge. Hospices are delivering more care than ever before, due in part to an aging and growing UK population. Despite how important their work is, many face substantial funding cuts due to government austerity measures. It’s more important than ever that we all help support them.
Skydiving to Raise More than Ever Before
iQuda plans to raise extra money for the hospice by skydiving in their honour. No less than 5 members of the team volunteered to jump from a plane at 13,000 feet, including iQuda CEO Stephen Macintosh. We’re currently in the process of booking a date before we start fundraising. We hope to raise more money by skydiving than we’ve ever raised before!
